Let’s start talking about the places you might want to visit when you get there, shall we?

1 – Marseille

This is one of France’s oldest cities and also the second largest! You will be in love with Marseille, since it unites what’s left of the Roman Empire and its ruins, medieval architecture and a lot of modernity.

It was an important trading center in the ancient times and it remains today as the main commercial port in France. You can arrive there by a cruise ship, just like many of the tourists that visit the city.

There’s many theatres and museums in Marseille, as well as movie theaters, bars, pubs, restaurants and art galleries of course.

When you’re there, you might want to try the Bouillabaisse, the most famous seafood dish of Marseille. Made with three different kinds of fish, this stew includes some vegetables and other ingredients that will make you fall in love with french food instantly. Also try the Fougasse and Pastis. You will not regret that!

2 – Loire Valley

Ever wanted to feel like a Disney character in a castle? This is your opportunity! The Loire Valley is located at the center of France and has everything you need to feel like you live in medieval times. With castles, vineyards and historical villages, this is the perfect destination for those who want to try something different and spectacular.

Take some time to visit the Château de Chambord, the most emblematic renaissance monument in France. Built in the 16th century, it was home for Louis XIV and hosted parties, balls and much more back in the day.

There’s also the Château de Chenonceau, a very elegant and beautiful castle with a female touch to its architecture, something that represents the women that lived there and their legacy very well.

Azay-le-Rideau is surrounded by a moat and beautiful gardens that make this place look like it has come straight from a fairy tale. It is very well preserved and offers a sight that you probably won’t find anywhere else but in France.

3 – Mont Saint-Michel

The island of Mont Saint-Michel is an outstanding scenery that doesn’t look real, no matter how you look at it.

It’s just great. If you love medieval settings this is the perfect spot to spend some days. The structures on the island all look like jewels that are part of the crown, surrounding the Abbrey of Mont Saint-Michel, which is clearly the biggest and most important building. You’ll be able to see it from a distance and visiting it will be as amazing as the sight of it makes it seem.

3 – French Riviera

The French Riviera is a true definition for paradise. All the glamour is centered here. You probably heard of the Cannes Festival, Monaco and many other attractions that take place here. But that’s not all. There is a lot of places to visit, foods to try and the mediterranean sea to enjoy.
